Drive To Directions:
Happy Camp Ontario is a drive-to camp located just outside of the village of Hillsport, Ontario. Hillsport is located approximately 300 miles northwest of the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge (Michigan border crossing), and approximately 325 miles northeast of the Pigeon River Bridge (Minnesota border crossing).
If coming from Sault Ste. Marie, travel along Hwy 17 north past Wawa and White River. Approximately 30 miles past White River, turn north on Hwy 614 toward the Town of Manitouwadge. Call us for specifics of traveling the 35 miles of gravel road to our camp.
Or, if coming from Thunder Bay, take Highway 11/17 toward Nipigon. At Nipigon, take Highway 17 to the east. Turn north on Hwy 614 toward the town of Manitouwadge. Call us for specifics of traveling the 35 miles of gravel road to our camp.
Prefer to Travel by Air?
If you have access to a float plane, it is possible to land on White Otter Lake itself. Our camp is 1/4 mile from the lake.
Adventurous to Travel by Train?
VIA Rail Canada, a national passenger rail service, has a train that travels from Toronto to Vancouver, passing through Hillsport for those who might choose this option. Call us for more details.
